Each workshop is designed to provide tools to LEEP Academy families to support students at home, to work in partnership with the teachers
and the school, and achieve academic success.
Currently, our workshops are held via Zoom and the link is shared via Facebook, ClassTag, and text message.

How to be prepare for NYS Exams (March 29, 2022) The LEEP team offered a guide for parents and representatives to
help them prepare their children–and themselves–for the New York State exams. In addition, two guest institutions, the Academy for Medical
Services and Public Health Services (AMPHS) and the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, presented their free services, primarily aimed
at providing care and support to migrants.
Tips for Creating a Structured Environment at Home (January 29, 2022) Our
staff provides you with appropriate tools to create an environment at home that helps your children be better students. As a result, they
will also learn self-discipline, understand limits, and interact appropriately with the world around them.
Learning in Two Languages: The Dual Language Program at LEEP Academy (December 4, 2021) LEEP
Dual Language Academy offers a unique approach to dual language education. The purpose of this workshop is to share with parents how
our dual language program works, what to expect for their children once they have enrolled with us, and how parents could have an
active role in the whole process too.

Summer Camp & Summer School 2021
This is a Family Workshop held on May 8, 2021, for explaining to our community about the upcoming Summer Camp 2021 and the Summer School
Program 2021.
Keep us Safe, Keep us Open: Safety Guidelines and Information on the COVID-19 vaccine You are welcome to know
all measures taken to prevent Covid-19 among the LEEP Dual Language Academy community of students, workers, and families following
guidelines dictated by the National Government, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and New York State government. Also, how
we help and encourage each other to get vaccinated to keep us all safe.
Mindfulness & The Toolbox You
will be introduced to the concept of "Mindfulness," a school program for LEEP Academy students in which each child gains
techniques to help reduce stress and anxiety, and review the socio-emotional learning program “Toolbox” used schoolwide. You will learn
about the benefits, and we will share some tips and techniques that parents can use at home for themselves and/or with their children.
Academic Support for Parents
Family support is essential for the development of students' abilities, skills, and knowledge. We made these three videos
alongside our teachers describing some techniques, exercises, and games to practice: Mathematics; Phonics; Spanish Language Arts and
Phonics; and English and Spanish Language Arts at home.
Academic Support at Home
In this virtual workshop, we talk about tips for parents on how to prepare for a productive Parent-Teacher Conference and recommendations
for families on how to provide academic support their students at home.
The love of reading begins at home.
Join our Dean of Instruction, Dorsa Fahami, and LEEP Academy teachers for a session for parents and family members on the importance of
your involvement in fostering a love of reading in your home and how to achieve it. We will also cover in detail the reading goals for
each grade and how parents can help their children achieve those goals.
